Family Hack of the Week

These decadent Chocolate Chocolate Chip Cookies from the Food Network are the perfect treat for National Chocolate Month. This recipe yields 3 dozen cookies.

Preheat oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit and grease the cookie sheets.

In a large bowl, whisk together 2 1/4 cups flour, 1 teaspoon salt and 1 teaspoon baking soda. In a separate bowl, cream 2 sticks of softened butter, 1 cup sugar, 1 cup packed brown sugar, 2 eggs, 1 tablespoon vanilla and 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa. Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until well incorporated. Fold in 2 cups chocolate chips and 1 cup chopped walnuts.

Scoop tablespoon-sized portions of dough onto the prepared cookie sheets and bake for 10 minutes. Allow the cookies to cool on a wire rack. Alternatively, press the dough into a greased 9-inch square pan and bake for 20-25 minutes, then cut into squares once cooled.
